These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JioAstro mobile application in its current prototype form (the "App"), distributed through the Google Play internal testing track. By downloading, installing, accessing or using the App, or by tapping "I Agree", you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by the JioAstro Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App and these Terms

The App is operated by [Legal Entity Name] ("we", "us", "our" or "JioAstro"), having its registered office at [Registered Address]. The App offers Vedic astrology insights, faith and devotional content, and related spiritual-wellness features, including an AI-assisted conversational experience. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and us.

2. Eligibility

  1. You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the App. The App is not directed at children.
  2. Access to this build is limited to testers who have been invited by us through the Google Play internal testing programme. You may not use the App unless you are an authorised tester.
  3. You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and with Google Play's terms and policies.

3. Nature of the service — important disclaimer

JioAstro provides astrological, spiritual and devotional content for guidance, reflection and entertainment. Astrology is a belief-based practice and is not a science. Content generated or displayed by the App — including birth-chart readings, predictions, compatibility insights, remedies and chat responses — is provided on an "as is" basis for personal, non-professional use only.

  • The App does not constitute, and must not be treated as, medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment or professional advice of any kind;
  • The App does not diagnose, treat or predict illness, death, or any medical or life-threatening outcome, and will not knowingly provide such content;
  • The App should never be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or other professional.

Always seek the advice of an appropriately qualified professional for any medical, legal, financial or other significant matter. If you are experiencing a health or mental-health emergency, contact a licensed medical professional or your local emergency services immediately.

4. AI-generated content

  1. Parts of the App use artificial-intelligence models to generate conversational responses and personalised content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, and may not reflect real events or your actual circumstances.
  2. You are responsible for how you interpret and act on any AI-generated content. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability or suitability of such content for any purpose.
  3. You must not use the AI features to seek or generate content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or that solicits medical, legal or financial decisions.

5. Your account and information you provide

  1. To use certain features you may be asked to provide information such as your name, mobile number, and birth details (date, time and place of birth). You agree that the information you provide is true, accurate and current.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials used to access the App and for all activity under your account.
  3. Our handling of your personal data is described in the JioAstro Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to:

  • use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purpose, or in breach of these Terms;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, modify, or create derivative works from the App except to the extent permitted by law;
  • probe, scan, overload, disrupt or interfere with the App, its servers or networks, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data;
  • upload or transmit viruses, malware or any harmful code, or automate access using bots or scrapers;
  • share, publish, screenshot for public distribution, or otherwise disclose the App, its features, screens or content outside the authorised testing group; or
  • use the App to harass, abuse, defame or harm any person, or to generate content that violates the rights of others.

7. Feedback

As a tester, you may submit feedback, bug reports, suggestions or ideas about the App. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and incorporate such feedback for any purpose, without any obligation or compensation to you. Please do not include confidential information of any third party in your feedback.

8. Intellectual property

  1. The App and all associated content, software, designs, logos, trademarks, text, graphics and other materials are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws. "Jio", "JioAstro" and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.
  2. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App solely for the purpose of internal testing and evaluation. No other rights are granted.

9. Payments and subscriptions

Testing note. In-app purchases and paid subscriptions are expected to be disabled or run only in a sandbox/test mode during internal testing, and no real charges should be made. If any billing is enabled, it is processed through Google Play and subject to Google Play's payment terms in addition to these Terms. The pricing, plans and billing terms are placeholders to be finalised before public release.

10. Third-party services

The App may rely on or link to third-party services (for example Google Play services, analytics, hosting and AI providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and their inclusion does not imply our endorsement.

11. Beta / prototype disclaimer and "as is" basis

The App is provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis for testing purposes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that content will be accurate or reliable. You use the App at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill or business, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App or reliance on any content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our affiliates from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

14. Suspension and termination

  1. This is a time-limited test. We may suspend, restrict, discontinue or terminate the App or your access to it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, including at the end of the testing period.
  2. On termination, your licence to use the App ends and you must stop using and remove the App. Clauses that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified within the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at [City], India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App, without prejudice to any statutory grievance-redressal mechanism available to you.
